LAUNCHER 400 /e-Mail Module

 Sending emails from AS/400 programs :

Three messaging protocols are supported :

• SMTP direct :
  The messages are directly sent to the SMTP server of your Internet provider.
• MAPI - Outlook :
  The messages are handled by a messaging server, MAPI compatible, like MS Exchange.
  
• Lotus Notes :
  in this environment, the Lotus Notes clients are usually connected to a Domino server.

In all case,

• The iSeries program creates a new message, sets the body text, attaches files, sets the subject and recipients
• Then the message is sent, without any user action
• The email features from LAUNCHER/400 Office are also used to send faxes, through 'Fax Connectors' on the messaging server
